Dr. William M. Stone, D.C., Ir.
Dr. Stone is a
Certified Iridologist, Diplomat the International Institute
of Iridology, and Charter Member of The American College of
Iridology. He has practiced for fifteen years, and integrates
iris analysis with nutrition. The doctor graduated with honors
from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition as a Board Certified
Holistic Health Counselor, and is a Diplomat Member of the
American Association of Nutritional Consultants.
Iridology is the assessment of the colored portion of the
eye called the iris, and reveals the level of health and presence
of tissue inflammation in the body, where it is located, and
what stage it has reached. The iris reveals the level of constitutional
strength, inherent weaknesses, and the transitions that take
place in a persons organs and tissues according to the way
they eat, drink, feel, think, and live.
An evaluation consists of a consultation, examination of iris
photos taken at the time of consult and nutritional recommendations.
What is Iridology?
Many people today
are talking about how we can see our level of health through
looking at our eyes. This brief explanation will serve as
an introduction to Iridology. The science and practice if
Iridology is performed by analyzing the iris( or colored portion
of the eye) along with the sclera (or white of the eye).
The iris is the most complex external structure of the human
anatomy. It is connected to every organ and tissue of the
body by way of the nervous system. Through the optic nerves,
which are attached to the eyes, vision information is sent
to the brain. At the same time information is sent back to
the eyes from the brain about your overall level of health.
Iridology reveals the health and presence of tissue inflammation
in the body, where it is located and what stage is has reached-
acute, subacute, chronic or degenerative. The iris reveals
the level of constitutional strength, inherent weaknesses
and the transitions that take place in a person’s organs
and tissues according to the way they eat, drink, feel, think
and live.
Today in the 20th century, doctors and scientists primarily
from the United States (Dr Bernard Jensen) and Germany (Josef
Deck and Josef Angerer) have brought Iridology into worldwide
recognition.
The actual fiber structures and various colors we see in the
iris tell us about the level of physical traits as well as
conscious and subconscious thought/emotional patterns.
Each eye gives us different information. The right eye correlates
with the left side of our body which is that feminine, creative,
conceptual and intuitive side of us. The left eye correlates
to the right side of our body which is that analytical, practical,
linear and masculine side of us.
Iridology provides a painless and economical means of looking
into the body. It may be utilized in conjunction with any
other system of analysis or diagnosis available. Today, people
are in need of preventive health care and less complex methods
of analyzing their condition. Iridology holds a key to both
of these situations.
Iris analysis is done by photographing both eyes with a specialized
camera. The photos are enlarged and carefully examined by
a qualified Iridologist.
All clinical work is performed with the highest skills and
standards. My advanced approach to Iridology encompasses various
systems that are integrated into a truly holistic model.
The eyes are the bridge between the spiritual, mental, emotional
and physical aspects of our human nature. This science may
seem new and different to you. I encourage you to be open
and explore the possibilities.
The eye has been proclaimed through the ages as the “mirror
of the soul” and now we also acknowledge it as the window
to the physical body, mental thoughts and emotional feelings.
What
is Iridology?
Iridology
is a powerful method of analyzing tissue states and the condition
of the organs throughout your body. A reading of your irises
will give you valuable information regarding your physical,
mental, and emotional strengths and weaknesses. Your constitution,
inherent traits, and current state of health as revealed by
your eyes will be explained to you in minute detail, with
an emphasis on steps you can take now to prevent problems
in the future.
The
Birth of Iridology
In the sketches on ancient papyruses, which are several thousands
years old, one can see many pictures in which priests investigate
the eyes of a pharaoh. According to research, the priests
of Ancient Egypt were able not only to make diagnosis of the
existing disease, but also to make a prognosis of the future
state of a patient's health, to determine the characteristic
features of a person, based on the changes in the iris. The
Greek physician Hippocrates was known to examine patients'
eyes for signs of illness. It wasn't until 1670, however,
that the first actual medical reference to Iridology as a
diagnostic tool appeared in the German physician Phillipus
Meyens' book Chiromatica Medical. Iridology first became
known in the United States in the 1950s. Bernard Jensen, an
American chiropractor, began giving classes in his own method,
which focuses mainly on the color of the iris, the body's
exposure to toxins, and use of natural foods as detoxifiers.
Is
it Painful?
The procedure is not painful at all. The basic treatment involves
observing the eye with a gentle light, accompanied by a loup
(a magnifying device). For all treatments, there is no physical
contact with the eye.
What
to Expect after the Procedure
Upon completion
of the exam, you will be given your Personal Eye Chart. This
one of a kind map will show different colors depicting your
strengths and weaknesses. Suggestions as to nutritional supplementation
and companion therapies will also be discussed.
At
the Natural Alternative Center your Iridology Session will
convince you that you are only as strong as your weakest
tissue link. By understanding your inherent weaknesses, you
will be able to properly build upon these tissues. Every landmark
sign has its own unique story and we must read and consider
the many possible inherent, chemical, reflex, nerve, spiritual,
mental and philosophical aspects.
